This year crappie fishing and possession of crappies is closed at the lake.  This is to allow the population of crappies in the lake to re-establish.

There will be 2 Trout Rodeo's this year, March 25th and April 8th.

There will be 2 trout stockings prior to each of the Rodeo's, March 20th and April 3rd.  Each Rodeo will start at 7am and end at 1pm.  Only children 12 years and under will fish at each Rodeo from 7am until 8am.  Everyone else will fish from 8am to 1pm.

After the April 8th Rodeo, the lake will be open to those persons only possessing a trout card until Sat April 15th at daylight, at which time all members can fish again.

Cost of a Trout card is $20 for persons that are 13 and older,  $5 for children 6-12,  ages 5 and under are free.  The Trout card is good for both Rodeo's.

No reserving the lake banks prior to any of the Rodeo's and only 1 Rod per person is allowed during both Rodeo's.

There will be no Catfish bazaar this year due to poor attendence.  There will be a future catfish stocking, date to be determined.

No fishing anytime in the posted area around the lights/aerators.  Also please have young children refrain from throwing rocks/stones into the lake.  Please obey all signs and rules while fishing and be considerate of others along the lake bank. Also please note that any fish you are taking from the lake for consumption will need to have a permit showing that the fish was taken from the Greencastle Sportsman Lake.  Permits will be available at boxes located at the large information sign at the bottom of the hill and at the Members Pavilion.

This is a regulation/requirement of the Pennsylvania Fish Commission, so keep in mind that this simple card can prevent a $fine$ if you would be stopped by a Waterways Conservation Officer once you leave the Club property.

REMINDER:  Membership cards must be in your possession while fishing or using club grounds.

Please obey all signs and rules while fishing or your membership will be in jeopardy.

No fishing anytime in the posted area around the lights/aerator.

Also please note that any fish you are taking from the lake for consumption will need to have a permit showing that the fish was taken from the Greencastle Sportsmen Lake.
